Thanks for the info mate...but this is one of my least favorite rides at the parks. Could be that we got stuck in it for over thirty minutes once...and that song will always be playing in my head...AAACK...

Aye, it is Small World in DL...Kind of strange, that they are adding characters, when it's not really needed....It's such a classic attration, I dont know why they'd mess with it....People either love this ride or hate it....After Scott rode it once, he said ''dont ever make me do that again'' :)) But, it's my fathers fav, after POTC.

The one at WDW has not been changed. It is still the same.

The creepiest time was when were on the ride during Grad Night. There was a huge back up and we were stuck in the middle of the ride. They (thankfully) turned off the music---but the dolls mouths kept moving!!! :O

Didn't notice Chuckie from Child's Play among the dolls, did you???? :))

Actually, I love this ride. I remember wanting to see it so much as a child on the Wonderful World of Disney. When you have five daughters and a giant room of dolls, it's a magical place indeed. Now with grandchildren, it's even more magical. There's so much to see, I swear each time I see something new. Then again...at my age...there is that forgetfullness thing... :))

Ya know what COULD use a revamp? The sound in the Country Bears Jamboree in WDW... MAN did that audio bite. I could barely understand what was going on for all the scratchy static. A digital restoration of the audio and new speakers would make all the difference in the world.

^^^ So true, so true....static makes it hard to understand any of it.

Now I hear they are maybe replacing Small World w/a smaller, more modern version? Oh man, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! :/

I've never ridden It's a Small World but it looks like they made it into a sort of Where's Waldo? with Disney and Pixar characters. I think it's sort of neat. They look like they're done in the style of the dolls or their environment. Woody and Jesse are SO cute.

Here's there's lots of picture here:

I couldn't get that first link from burnin4turner to work.

Since they just spent a year remaking it, I doubt they'd be messing with it again for a long time...and it sounds like the WDW one will just be left alone entirely.

Ooh thanks for the link Erica Dawn....mine is an old link and probably broken by now. The new characters do look like the same face/style as the old ones, and I'm sure kids will be tickled to see characters like Stitch and the dragon from Mulan, but the purist in me just wants it to remain like it was when I was a kid! ;) They did a good job on the dolls though.
