Orlando Bloom .2.

Here be the forum to discuss the stars of the POTC movies.

Just thought I would pop in here. Its been all over most of the LOTR sites and on TORN that Orlando has been in contact with Jackson re: the Hobbit project and he's would be happy to be available. Legolas has no mention in Hobbit, but there is a possible bridge project between when Hobbit ends and Fellowship starts around I suppose he could make an appearance, say helping to hunt for Gollum.Sure, Legolas easily could be seen hanging out in his fathers court, they better not offer him Thranduil's role, it would just 'weird'. He isn't the only ex-Fellowship crew member more than happy to stay in NewZealand again-others have been asked by press and said they'd be more than happy to do whatever Peter asked in any form. I hope Orlando is not putting aside any possible Pirate work because of this. From what I've heard, there is no Will Turner in the script. Easy enough to cut in a scene I would think...I mean, who doesn't want to go to Hawaii!
He sure as been under the radar!

I just thought I'd alert all those Orlando fans here on the boards that I was uploading an episode of Midsomer Murders with another of my favorite British actors in it, Richard Hope, when I noticed a very young, hot pre-POTC Orlando!

Here's the link and Richard Hope plays the jealous hubby!

Hmmmm, it seems there are rumblings of another movie....

Could it be our wayward former pirate in training has finally gotten his butt (that was for you Paw!) back to work?

Thanks for the link Paw! My gracious, there's like 10 episodes! Here I was thinking I could pop them off in like a half hour.....

Another movie you say, Eliza? So is he finally making up for lost time? Or getting bored lying around on sunny vacations?

So...a second thread on OB!! :D This development will teach me to stay away so long. Of course, considering the cute little tushy has been so dormant lately... *le sigh* I wish the man would consider work again. I miss him...

I was watching COTBP last night (on our brand spanking new 32" Panasonic flat screen *insert angels singing here* :yahoo ), and couldn't get over how the little feller has grown. And golly, I wish he would have washed his hair just once for the movie. The unwashed look can only get him so far. Teehee. :P

Hopefully I can manage to be around a little more frequently...but I think I say that every time I make a random pop in. :W

And now, just for the heck of it because I love this smiley: :crazy

Peace! ;)

Hi, Jen!

I know, I think my heart broke a little at the idea of missing an opportunity of watching PotC with an intro from Jack Davenport, OB, Jonathan Pryce and Gore Verbinski in the same room. I love them all

Yay! Love that pic :piratelove:

Well that's an interesting little article; like you say, who knows if it's true...yet? I could see him as Aramis; a little old now to be D'Artagnian, but it might be fun to see him as a bad guy.

I'm with the writer of the article, though, it's hard to get the other version of 3 Ms w/Kiefer Sutherland outta my head. It'll be hard to top if it actually gets to production.

^ .... THIS could have been him ... but if only ... ugh ... :dis
Nope ... he´d rather wanna do other different things lately ...
I´ve seen the trailers about this movie ... and Jake Gyllenhaal reminds me soooooo much of Balian
in some scenes there ... also the haircut and style ...
Sometimes I think, that this character and the movie was just made for Orlando in a way ...
Well, it´s Disney again ... and it´s been inspired and related about that PC-Game ... I know ...
This is just so Orlando as Balian there ... kinda scary, too ...

Anyone?

I read a review of Robin Hood this weekend that said that it would have been much better and far more believable if OB had played the title role.

I'm hoping the Three Musketeers thing pans out.

Jen and HP , I look at that poster and think it should have been Orli! Booo....I don't know if I'll even be able to watch the movie, Gyllenhall just does not do it for me.

Eliza I would agree w/that review about him being a believable Robin Hood. Knowing how he's good buddies w/Ridley Scott, I wonder if he pitched it to him? I like Russell Crowe and (Cate Blanchett is fierce!) but I think he's getting a little old for this part.

Think the beard (or what part of it there is) is getting ready for 3 Musketeers? It's looking waaay scraggly right now; I hope it grows into something a bit less patchy.

B4t - ditto about the Gyllenhall thing. Maybe I'll do it as a rental.

I had heard OB was in consideration for Robin Hood, but it was another sword movie (OK, bows and arrows) and declined.

He's supposed to be starting a movie in June in Ireland so maybe that's what the scraggly beard is for. It started out making me think of dear William, but now it makes him look like a homeless guy.

Yeah he sort of looks like a cross between his character in Ned Kelly and the one in NYILY. In either case a bar of soap would be an appropriate prop. :W

And what does he have against bows and arrows? He ought to be kissing them daily for making him rich and famous! :dis

I could make a comment as to what the problem was, but I shall be nice and refrain.

One of my students complained yesterday that there was no OB picture in the new set of flashcards so I added one for her today. One of our words is "to get wet." There was SO much to choose from. Now I need to find a different one for her. We have "to take a bath" too. Hmmm, I wonder if I can find a picture of that bath tub scene from Ned Kelly?

Found one (source: Moontribes.com / pictures added by member Kim), that reminds me of the old days of POTC ...
When you look at all of the people in the pictures ... sighs ...
They were taken at the "Cinematic Celebration for Jerry Bruckheimer" two days ago ... those were the days ... :(
... Jack Davenport (Norrington), Jonathan Pryce (Governor Swan) and Gore Verbinski ...

Scary pictures of Jonathan Pryce there ... he looks so thin and ailing ... :/

HP you pirate you! ;) The hair is looking much better. You think his teeth are capped?

So here I was just yesterday wondering if what I had heard about OB and Bruckheimer not being all that buddy-buddy, and up pop these pictures at a tribute for him! Guess that answers my question. (And you're right, Jonathan Pryce is really showing his age)

Does this tell you how stressed I am??? I completely forgot to ask she who can find anything for one of those pictures. THANKS HP!!!!

I need to send you the rest of the list. I think it would be funny to give her a different one every day! Let's see.....to shave, to wash, to comb, to brush, to get dressed, to put something on (BOOTS!!!), to take a shower (OK, perhaps not a good idea for that one - want to keep my job), to have fun, to eat breakfast, to dry off, to laugh, to smile, to worry, to wake up, get up, lay down, fall asleep, to remove (as in clothing), to sit down, to put on make up, to get mad, to look at oneself (I need some UNO screen caps!)

Come on, help a sister out!

How about....let me show what to do with this towel?

I keep trying to tell myself that the scruff is for the new movie. I'm also trying to convince myself that after he was at that thing for Bruckheimer that he will suddenly start longing to be Will Turner again and return for Pirates 5+. I can dream, can't I?

He looked good at the Prince of Persia premiere too. It's nice to see him out and about (by himself :W ) again!

... wonders ... Image

Thought you ladies know this "famous" belly button picture, hm ? Image

It was a huge topic a few years ago in most of the Orlando related forums and boards.
Everyone was running MAD about that picture ...

To give you the solution of the whole belly button story ...
... here´s a picture, that shows who actually put his finger in Orlandos belly button ...
... and than you might know the answer allready...
Image
Youngster Orlando with some LotR castmembers ...
... guess, it was taken throughout or after the shoot over in New Zealand ...
... seems like, that they all were about to leave there (airport).

Did that lighten you all up a bit? :/

b4t ... aye ...
I know Sesame Street, since I was 5 years old... *ages ago that was*
That is one of the reason, I started to learn english at that early age...
Germany didn´t had Sesame Street running on TV at that time, so I watched the series on
the Dutch TV ... with dutch subtitles and the original english version.
I LOOOOVED cookiemonster, Ernie, Big Bird, Little Bird, Kermit the Frog, Grover, Oscar the Grouch ...
... to name but a few ...

I think every girl in the school knows about Emerald's "special" flashcards. MAybe I should look ahead and see what's in store for next year so I can modify some.

Has anyone heard anything about when Albert Nobbs (or whatever it's called) is supposed to start? I thought it was at the beginning of June, but now one of the other actors is back in rehab.

Yikes, I can't keep them straight--which one is this? Did they even release Main Street yet or is that for later this year?

Eliza what do the boys in your class think of all the Orli cards? :D

:gw WHOO HOO!

These were great; I love the goofy faces! Someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously is always good. Love the getting caught in the Union Jack shorts!
