Johnny Depp To Star In My American Lover With His Real Lover, Vanessa Paradis Johnny Depp is making one of his next projects a family affair. As reported by BangShowbiz (via Coming Soon), Depp will star alongside his real life love, Vanessa Paradis in Lasse Hallström’s My American Lover. Depp explained that "Vanessa plays the French feminist Simone de Beauvoir and I play her lover Nelson Algren who is real macho.”

The Playlist suggests the film will be based on de Beauvoir’s A Transatlantic Love Affair: Letters to Nelson Algren. De Beauvoir met Algren in 1947 when a mutual friend suggested he be her tour guide in Chicago for a couple of days and they immediately fell in love. When she returned home she sent him love letters filled with information on French social history. 300 of those letters survived and were assembled into this book.

Depp is in the midst of shooting The Tourist with Angelina Jolie and has Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on deck, so he likely won’t get around to doing My American Lover until 2011. Depp isn’t even the only one involved in this project with a busy schedule. It was just announced that Hallström has assumed directorial duties from Tomas Alfredson for the sex-change film The Danish Girl starring Nicole Kidman and Gwyneth Paltrow. Curiously that sounds more interesting than My American Lover, but I am looking forward to seeing Depp reunite with his What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Chocolat director.

He was being touted for the role last June, so it seems strange that Johnny Depp's girlfriend Vanessa Paradis has only just taken an interest in his new movie.

But the mother of the 46-year-old's two children has apparently objected to passionate sex scenes he is filming with Angelina Jolie for The Tourist.

Paradis, 37, has allegedly 'ordered Depp to find another gig' after hearing about the shoots with Jolie, who famously fell in love with co-star Brad Pitt while shooting Mr & Mrs Smith together.

U.S. magazine Life & Style claims to have obtained a copy of a draft of writer Julian Fellowes' screenplay for The Tourist, and it describes the steamy shower sex scene between the two.

Apparently, Depp's character Frank Taylor will approach Jolie's character, Interpol agent Cara Mason, when she is naked in the shower.

Life & Style quotes the script as saying: 'Walking in, he lifts Cara against the glass, clutching at her slithery body, kissing her frantically. She kisses him back with ardour, wrapping her dripping legs around his back.

'Cara later turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his. He's taken by surprise but willingly responds to her advance, wrapping his arms around her back. They exchange a long, passionate kiss.'

Paradis and Depp have two children together, Lily-Rose Melody Depp, ten, and a son, John Christopher "Jack" Depp III, seven.

She is said to be alarmed that the scenes include Jolie, who got together with Pitt after filming Mr & Mrs Smith, a movie he shot while married to Jennifer Aniston.

Years earlier, Jolie started dating Billy Bob Thornton while the actor was said to have been engaged to actress Laura Dern.

Actors Charlize Theron and Sam Worthington have already dropped out of the movie, the latter replacing Tom Cruise but later deciding against starring in the movie himself.

Johnny Depp rescued a dog he found on the streets - and ended up with a whole family.

The dog quickly became pregnant and had puppies. Then a male dog showed up - I guess the father of the puppies - and was hanging around protecting the dogs. So now Johnny has a mother, a father and all their offspring to take care of. There were so many that we were divvying up who was going to take them back on the plane (from Puerto Rico, where they filmed The Rum Diary). Johnny and I hung out before we started filming. We watched movies and listened to the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan - songs that made sense of our roles. You can't go anywhere without seeing pictures of his kids and hearing the stories about them; you can tell that he loves his family.

Johnny Depp is preparing to launch his own record label and has dispatched staff to scour London for new talent, according to a U.K. report. The Hollywood star initially embarked on a music career when he left school, playing with several rock groups before turning his attention to acting.

Depp remains a massive music fan and recently helped British band Babybird produce a new record by funding their studio time and even playing on several of their tracks. And now the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is said to be ready to launch his own label.

According to Britain's The Sun, Depp has founded Unison Music and has hired talent scouts to search for new acts in the British capital. A source tells the publication, "Johnny has always been passionate about music. He's taking a really hands-on approach to signing acts."

"Obviously he can't get to as many gigs as he would like but he's got a good team around him and will personally vet any signings that they make."

Until some guy re-did Johnny's lead sled !! I didn't know he HAD one !! 1951 Mercury. They called em lead sleds because it was before Bondo and body repairs were done with lead...
I searched for a pic of his but couldn't find one - but it looks very much like this:

Johnny's is Very Tastefully done. Black of course. They had an Artist that airbrushed a skull with a scarf on it for the front and an Indian Headress for the back - hardly noticeable - looked kinda green.
JD got the new paint job new leather interior and new white walls.. No, he wasn't on the show - just his car......
