Well, I'm finding it difficult to balance between my two main characters Anakin and Will. Thus far I have been able to time out the facial hair but I don't know how I'm going to be able to balance out the hair difference between the two. Right now my hair is right on the line of being too long on the sides for Anakin, but it is still way too short for Will. I don't know what I'm going to end up doing. For now I have a ponytail extension that I am using for Will but I hate worrying about it falling off.

As far as upcoming events, I am going to be doing Will at the upcoming Great Lakes Medieval Faire in like 2 weeks. Still not going to have my Will sword, but I may just go swordless instead of using the plastic sword like I did last time.

My brother in law and I are currently practicing our Anakin/Obi-Wan duel for our next performance. We will be doing the duel for Erich Kunzel once again. This time in Chicago at the Ravinia Festival. It will be on August 1st. If anyone up in that area is looking for something to do that day, please come out, it will be a great time!

In case you haven't seen our duel video before, here is the show we did in Lima, OH on New Years Eve last year...

http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj22 ... lesean.flv

Also, I just got an email from the lady that has been researching the Will sash for me. She thinks she has figured out how to do it and she is going to start experimenting! I'll definitely keep everyone updated on that!

Yeah, that was a small orchestra. We have also done it for the Cincinatti Pops, The National Symphony Orchestra(3 times at the Kennedy Center in DC), and next up is the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. They are definitely some of my favorite events. The kids love it and afterwards we always get mauled.

Well, my wife and I bought a house so we didn't think we were going to get to go the the Ren Faire due to finances. Then the night before we decided we could do it. What made that interesting is that I shaved my facial hair off 3 days prior. We made due and ended up having a lot of fun. Here are some pics:

I need to dig through my other pics. There was this cute little boy that came up to me like 6 times to talk to me. He wanted his picture taken with Will and Elizabeth, not Jack. That was a first! I think this 5 year old knew more about Will than I did. As we were about to leave, he came up to me to warn me that he saw Davey Jones and that he was looking for me and my crew and that he wanted to take us to the locker. He was dead serious too.

Haven't posted lately because I haven't done any events lately. I gained some weight over winter and I am just starting to take it off now. Still not happy with how I look in my Turner costume yet, but I'll get there. Anyway, my daughter was just born 2 weeks ago and she went to her first event today. We did Pirates Weekend in Put In Bay. Had a great time! A little sword play, a parade, a costume contest for the kiddies...awesome event!

Pics are here:

Great photos! Does your daughter show any preference yet between Jack and Will? Or does it scare her when you dress up? I was terrified of big hats when I was her age.

She doesn't seem to have a preference. I was expecting her to be confused when we were around another Jack and it wasn't me, but she wasn't.

That isn't my daughter in the one pic. It is her Vader twin. Our local Darth Vader had his daughter the same day as we had ours. Since I am Anakin and he is Vader, we call them the Vader twins.
